smd export problem

Postby NAPREDATOR on Sat Nov 17, 2012 6:11 pm

I know that i'm suppose to have 2 models, a still one with no animations and then the others with the animations, both the model and the animations worked fine in 3dsmax but when i went to export them into .smd and use:
Code: Select all
$scale 30
$modelname "worldofwarcraft\magistarsterrace\mgt_selin_fireheart_boss_small_ref.mdl"
$body "Body" "mgt_selin_fireheart_boss_small_ref.SMD"
$cdmaterials "worldofwarcraft\Wmo\outland\magistarsterrace"

$surfaceprop "Flesh"

$sequence "stare" "mgt_selin_fireheart_boss_smal

as the .qc

this is what happens, on the left is a test of what the model is suppose to look like, and on the right is what it looks like with the animation:

edit
i use guistudiomdl

Looks to me like your bones are scaled down somehow. Your .qc doesn't mention anything about skeletons or animations so I assume you used the valve biped in your modelling program? Try having a look at the character model qc files given in the sdk example files. I think they are in the humans_sdk folder. It's been a while since I've done player animations but I'm certain you are missing a few hundred lines from that qc if you are hoping to create anything more than a static animated prop.
