Quick planar mapping

So Ive switched from 3ds max 2011 to 2013 and there no longer is an option for quick planar mapping, only "planar map". In 2011 this option was able to give an accurate UV but in 2013 the UV is stretched to a 1:0 aspect ration. Basically a box. I do not want this because it stretches my textures unnecessarily.
Is there some way to get this to work the old way?
I've searched google results for about 2 hours with no result.

I've used 2012 and I thought that always happens. Now that you mention it, it would be quite useful to know a way to do that.

Try disabling normalize map, if that still exists that is.

What I'd use in your situation is the "rescale elements" button it basically scales all the selected faces on the uwmap to their relative sizes of the model. Doesn't matter if you have your faces projected as a box at first, it scales them correcly. Just make sure you have the whole model selected when you do it.
