Lol. True, and even more-so re: valve, but when you have a whole team of artists able to split the design, geometry, modelling and texturing processes between them of course it'll be quicker.
Mappers Top Tip #548

We're just finishing up our internal vertical-slice demo at work for our current project. It has one level, its taken about 8 months with multiple designers (who are pretty damn good) and our entire art department. Just sayin'

Really mark? Is the team quite small at Creative? We just finished an entire 50+ hour game in 8 months but our team is about 150 people.

Not saying that the guys at Creative are bad (because the games they make are awesome), but that sounds like there may have been production/tools issues along the way.

We're writing a brand new inhouse engine for it, and an entire suite of tools. Our entire team is about 70 people I think. Yeah there have been issues, but we've had some pretty recognisable figures in to give us a second opinion, and what we're hearing is .. well, good :)

Yeah was wondering how you guys were making it, using the Total War engine didn't make sense so am not surprised you have made a new engine. Sounds good.

"I want a mods, ye do all the work, I sit and take screenies some time, lulz"

So darn true :|

Anyways, since it's for Gmod, I guess you know who I am.. Add me and keep your name Dexter (or else I'll ignore to prevent random kiddos) and then we will talk. Can't promise a deal or anything but I might just help you out.

AAAND.. I work whenever I want to so don't expect me to accept some kind of deadline already
