man, these guys should have just thrown a bunch of cash at interlopers. They obviously had to take out a loan to survive for the past two years, they'll never pay it back.

yeah, quit sad if you look at it like that Black_Stormy. They really didnt knew in what for mess they were helping themself in the past 2 years. This game will certainly not make any profit for them. I wonder how much did they paid valve for the source engine license? That alone would have been a big investment, that they unfortunately cant earn back.

Here is their steam forum, http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/f ... php?f=1399

Seriously, that Stixsworld peep is starting to get on my nerves.

That confirms it, this is actually the most intense and well thought out plan ever to troll struggling indie developers and modders. My hat goes off to the mastermind.

Still can't get over this. I mean...considering their situation prior to forming the studio and the fact that they have zero industry experience, I give them props for even attempting to make a game. I just really hope for the studio's sake that they aren't in enormous debt because of it.

Tried this for 10 minutes, and the first impression was pretty bad. Particles, leveldesign and most important gameplay where far below average. I still can't believe it's 16 euros..

Also on their employment page they ask for 3 + years industry experience, they can better try to get some experience them self first before asking this ridiculous amount from others.

We were going to try to release the game back in december 2010!! Oh god how blind we were. In another 5 months we will say how blind we were in April ;)

People also keep telling us about how beautiful Dear Esther is and how it is on the source engine. I will agree how beautiful Dear Esther is. I believe if our mapper had another year under his belt. He would be doing the quality Dear Esther is doing. We also aren't working with the power of 4 displacements because it was crashing the game.

Ultimately we released the game to soon and got kicked in the balls hard for it ;) lol What can we do? Well we lay on the ground for a few seconds. Catch our breathes then get back up and keep moving forward.

At least they dropped the price, now it's $9.99, or £6.99.

..still not worth it though.

They dropped the price AS I WAS BUYING IT LOL.

I had an extra ten bucks so I bought it because it's on the Source engine, because they are out in BFE, and because why the hell not. Might be ok for a few laughs. Reading this thread I feel really sorry for them. I've chosen to play worse before.

Now, please don't ban me, but this was so totally necessary. :smt021

This guy shows how clueless he is ... I thinks DE just looked so good because the mapper had one year more experience ... ... I have seven years ... meh ... I want to ... kill myself.
