Our 1st community challenge, let's see if you have what it takes to get your work in game.



Please post your WIP here or on the forums you are from. All voting will be tallied up and displayed in all threads. If you have a question be sure to ask, failure for knowing the rules and requirements are on you!

Let your limits be your imagination. Any kind of melee; knife, machete, axe, pipe, dog leg? Whatever you think.

Keep in mind the weapons we have make sense mechanically. No useless gears or gadgets will make the cut.

is there anything in place to prevent the spoofing of votes?

If I enter, I'm going to make the best model, and if I make the best model, I expect to win. Would hate to have my win stolen by some funny-business.

Well with the help of mods from different sites, there will be the same fail safe as always. Most forums these days dont allow newly created accounts to vote on polls anyways.

I would highly suggest entering, if our team really likes it and it doesnt win, you would most likely get a follow up email.

Damn, I knew I should have actually tried to get good at modeling.

I'll be watching to see how many cool entries there are. Stoop's a pretty good modeler based on what I've seen, so I have faith he will deliver a nice entry.

Stoop's the best modeler I've ever seen, there's no way he can lose.

What I've got so far is pretty uninspiring, but my next update will have some character. I'm sure Don's not looking for another knife, seeing as they already have (at least) 4, but I think they're pretty tame compared to how this will end up.

Looking very cool so far, be sure to clean up that geometry though.

I will clean it up some, but when you're drilling circles into rectangles it's going to be ugly no matter what. You'll notice that the edges between the holes are the same for each one, I'm just manually tessellating to prevent any long thin triangles from being created.

The only area that I intend to clean up is the long triangles near the bottom of the pinky. Where else did you see issue?
