I have to admit your does look better...
Though I don't like how the dirt line at the top covers the rust, though that's probably just me being mad my hard work is getting covered.

Only thing is the rest of the metal maybe shouldn't be orangey, it would bring out that actual rusted bits a lot more. Are you using photoshop? if so which layer setting are you using?
