Some low res Zelda pictures 2012, sorry they are low res they look better when seen on paper. This is a project I started in summer 2012 far from complete. I am re-imagining the bosses and enemies from zelda 2. Still need to complete, here is the boss Carok and Horsehead and various other enemies.

I work in layers when working with real paper this is the first phase of 3 phases.

Also look up 'proko how to draw the head' on yt, he abides loomis really well. Then draw 100 heads. You'll be pro, bro.

Totally missed this when you posted, don't know what happened there. I am definitely gonna look into that though. I respect your offer to ship your old one but I think I got a plan for what one I want...

Even though it is a pro version that is expensive as hell I was gonna run with that. Even though my current work sucks, I am just really rusty and haven't had a lot of practice. But yeah I like your thinking about that whole drawing of 100 heads deal. With getting into character development it's a very serious thing to me to be able to learn to draw people and to draw them well. Thanks for the pointer though man, things like that help me out a lot. :smt023

We have a bunch of those Intuous tablets in our comp labs, there's nothing really amazing about them. I'd say save your money and grab this instead.

yeah bamboo is great device for starters.. what I hate about it tho is that you can't switch between software settings like the more expensive ones.

so you have to rebind the buttons to different keystrokes if you use different applications like PS and mudbox for example.

and watching several digital painting lessons, I hear the instructor often talk about how you can make long nice confident strokes with your shoulder and elbow.. which isn't really possible on a small device like the bamboo.

Yeah the one I have is the version before the bamboo, the graphire. It was a really good beginner tablet and I still don't use it often enough to see the point of upgrading. But when I do I'm thinking an intuos touch, or go all out and get a cintiq. As it stands I have no need for it yet though, I never use the thing. Fuck I wish I could paint textures but I just don't know how to start. I'm practicing my line drawing for now on paper, maybe I'll move to colour theory soon and finally get some serious usage out of the tablet.

maybe you should look into value drawing instead of line drawing :)

Really man the only reasons why I wanted it were because of the sensitivity features that were additional to that model. That and the whole thing that you get what you pay for otherwise I have greatly considered using a lower grade model. I will definitely end up going that route of expenses start adding up but some part of me doesn't like siding for less. My massive spending habits on electronics tend to be racking devilishly expensive these days.

Artist friend of mine started with the bamboo and eventually got a cintiq for her home studio. Still uses the bamboo whilst travelling.

Been scribbling this over the past few days in breaks at work. Didn't really come out how I wanted it to. I don't think my drawing style is suited to funny fan comics. I might scan it and colour it, but likely not.
