Dude that is just cool! I love it, and it fits L4D2. Wouldn't the green screen overlay draw for all 4 of the players though?

Yeah, it would, but I used a func_illusionary textured with the overlay just in front of the camera and set it's fade distance really small so it's only possible for the camera to see. This is unless the player noclips in close.

But yeah that's one of the major obstacles among others I had to deal with.

Blink, this sticky now serves little purpose since most of these 'shared' models have broken links... (damn filefront)

We should host them locally, if it isn't too much of a bandwidth problem.

Well Blink moved the thread around, but I guess he didn't see our last few posts...

They are pretty good. Do I detect a L4D theme?

Wow, nobody has posted in here in a really long time. I hope it's ok if I reply here.

Anyway, I made some models a few weeks back for a map, that I'm not going to finish.
But since I like how they turned out, I thought I should post them here:

Image

The left one (rail01) might be good for exteriors with a gravely ground underneath.
The right one (rail02) should be used with a concrete ground, like inside a train shop or depot.
Both are sized, so that the standart HL2 trains should fit on them.

Made in Hammer with Propper (Yeah, I know, it's for noobs). Texture ressources from http://www.cgtextures.com/
You can use this in any way you like.

That's a fine looking rail set you posted there. I think the reason people have not posted here much is they tend to throw stuff up on the Model Pimpage thread but they don't give them away to often.

Another reason might be that ppl who produce really good stuff rather sell it on stores such as turbosquid or unity store.
