ATTENTION: I got the syntax wrong in all the skyboxes. I will fix them all and let you know when they are safe to use. I am going to remove the skyboxes from garrysmod.org. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Terragen can make some incredible skyboxes if done correctly, but it's a complicated program and my best was never good enough for me... So I gave up!

I believe Valve uses(ed) Terragen. They just do a lot of post processing and painting over it.

I'm really digging Castover and Lazyday, definitely have some great colors and awesome cloud formations.

By the way, thanks for finishing my skybox for me. I'll gladly send you any other "skeletons" I end up creating, if you want me to of course.

Keep this up man it's great work. The mapping community appreciates it.

Bit of a bump here, I've been getting the error message "Can't load skybox file... to build the default cubemap!" when I try and compile a map with your skyboxes. I know this is due to the skyboxes using different texture sizes for each texture, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way around this?

I've been able to temporarily solve the issue by making placeholder default cubemap files, but Steam keeps deleting those placeholder files :/
Could there be a simple solution like placing a cubemap in the 3D skybox or something?

Code: Select all
downloadEpic("Mr. Chop");
if($done){wait(7h);}
then{addSexy(); orgasm();}

recipe for epicness, i'll add this to my map and check it out later <33
