Particle editor "Color Light from Control Point" help

I'm trying to make a snow affect for a map that takes place in the dark. I've spent like 2 hours trying to find some documentation on the Operator "Color Light from Control Point" but I haven't found anything.

What I have done so far is make the effect(the snow falling and oscillating and what not), set it up in my map, and linked the control points (I put the info_target's were my lights are).

what the problem is? When I set my "Light 1/2 Control Point"'s to 0 The lighting of the particles is not were my control points are, it is where my info_particle_system is. When I set them to 1/2 respectively, they don't show up at all.

I know there is very little documentation on the subject and its somewhat of an advanced and obscure topic so anything that might even point me in the right direction would be very helpful.

I think that the color of the light by control point can only be done in the editor. Not by what the lights name is. I may be incorrect on this. But if you take a look at that "color sphere" in the tests particles you will see that it uses the color from control points WITHIN the .pcf

I think the easiest way would be to simply create a different particle systems for different lightning conditions.
