Rotated models when compiling

Postby BiznessMan on Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:25 am

I am trying to modify the v_crowbar model, but any time I check it out in model viewer, the whole model is flipped about 90 degrees to the right. I can not for the life of me find a fix for this, but maybe somebody out there knows something

I'd appreciate any sort of input. I'm using Milkshape if that helps any

in the QC file add "rotate -90" after each sequence.

Thanks, that seemed to work, but now the model is slightly lower than it should be (I can see the top of my model but the hands are not visible)

Is there an easy way to shift the model up slightly?

You most likely moved the model around you 3d modeling software and need to return it to 0,0,0 and 0,0,0 rotation.

Na, I didn't move it. It does this if I decompile a model and recompile right away.

Google shows that a lot of other people have the rotation problem as well :(

What I do when models show rotated or moved or whatever in Source (but not in the suite) is to assign it a bone, instead of making the compiler do the job.

But I'm not sure if you have a bone in the suite, if you don't, create one and place it in the 0, 0, 0.

It always works for me.

Yes, I know the hull is crazy here :) But the purpose is just for demonstration.
