Best grunge/scratch Photoshop brushes?

Postby nub on Sat Feb 26, 2011 9:07 pm

Hey guys. I'm in need of some really awesome brushes for painting grunge and scratches. I used to have a pretty large collection but I lost it all when my hard drive crashed last year. It may have been large, but there were a lot of brushes that weren't very useful, and it was just a big clusterfuck. I want to rebuild my brush collection, but I don't want to fill it with useless crap. Anyone got any recommendations? They need to be free, and preferably in packs. I'll take anything that's good, really.

I heard Google has some good ones. Also, using the brush properties is good I'm told. Seriously, I only have 1 brush that I use for scratches and its fucking badass.

This is the settings roughly that I use for my scratch brushes, I have a couple of presets on diff sizes and stuff but they're all mostly the same. Theres a hard-edged brush with tablet pen pressure set to size jitter and sometimes scatter amount.
