skybox material problem

Hi, I try to create a custom skybox for l4d2, I made it with terragen. I created .vtfs with the photoshop plugin with "sky" preset. But the result is strange

material : there is not a lot of detail (and really dark) but I simplified it due to the poor result I had :

None of them resolve problem

Try going through this article and making sure your vtf is set up optimally for this type of texture.

It has clamp S, clampT, Hint DXT5, No Mipmap, 8 bit alpha, it should be good.

If you toss me the original files I can compile the hdr textures and do the .vmt stuff for you.

It is very nice, but I think it could be better to try to make a hdr version of just this image ( http://uppix.net/d/6/e/ac3835d4f3af93b7 ... ecac6.html ), and all the vmt stuff. Then I try ingame to see if it solve the problem.

Because, actually the sky isn't finished, it was just an attempt. So I prefer to know how to fix this bug before finishing the sky.
