VTA and Flex and more

Postby shawnolson on Mon Sep 19, 2011 3:37 am

I'm preparing for a new version of Wall Worm Model Tools that includes some utilities for speeding up Morphed meshed (like facial animations) along with the ability to export the VTA at the same time you export the main mesh.

I'm looking for people who do this a lot to test out the current implementation to provide feedback on it. If interested, send me your email and I'll send you this version and some basic instructions. I'm really looking for people who have experience doing this manually so they can critique the current work flow and perhaps give any ideas on making it better.

I now have a beta of this next version. Looking for feedback.

You can find the beta here along with notes on the features. At the moment, that page is the closest thing to any documentation on these new features. I'll actually load docs after this version is fully tested.

Along with the new VTA/Morpher/flexfile additions, there is now a Particle system ui to attach particles to your models/sequences (Particles are in the Attachment rollout). And some other new features. Feedback on the best way to flesh out the flexfile features is my main interest at the moment.

The beta version had a VTF export bug. That's been fixed ... there is a new beta download on the page linked above.
