Unused Models

Hi - first off - I know there is a thread up there on sharing models - but it looks a little dead and most of the links are broken.

I was wondering if anyone is willing to openly or privately share unused models that you'd like to see put to use.

I'm currently working on a mod and while I'm still in the pre-production phase - I'm sort of curious as to whether people are generally open to this.

I know that community projects for mods have worked out as well in the past "Design a phone", etc.

So to sum up - I'm not really looking for anything specific - but if you have something catching dust in the corner of your PC - I'd be happy to incl. it.

You'd get full credit for it as well.

Thanks guys - and particularly thanks on TurboSquid - I did not know them before - but as I've said before - if you have models laying around - lemme know :)

well if you're into those kinds of sites, fallingpixel, 3docean and the3dstudio might be worth checking out as well.

Thanks, appreciated!

I haven't really planned on spending money on this project I'm working on - but it's worth considering.

I'm far from ready for recruiting guys at this point.

For a mod, use as much free stuff as you can find, build something good looking, then recruit. Just make sure you give credit where it is due. I've busted many people pushing off turbosquid models as their own, and thats not good for trying to build a team.

But dont let that make you not use them, I used a ton of that stuff when I was making a mod, I just got rid of them all when we went over to indie. Sucked, but it had to be done.

Heh - thanks for the advice - I've got the advantage of having previously worked within the professional industry - so not giving credit for where it is due - is a big no no for me
