Faceposer - pause scene / resume on trigger

I am working on a map where I need a vcd scene to pause, by using a pause section in faceposer, and only continue playing after it's triggered (trigger_once triggered by the player) via an input to resume.

I placed the pause sections on the timeline in faceposer, saved the .vcd and rebuilded the scenes.image. In faceposer the scene paused like it should, but ingame the pause is ignored and just plays the whole scene in one go.

Anyone knows how it should be done?
