GeneralVivi's WIP Thread

Basic Idea :

Set in a warehouse district, not too far from White Forest, Gordon and Alyx face a new type of enemy that pushes them to their limits. With the combine hot on their tail, our heroes must find a way to warn the nearby rebel bases of this new enemy threat.

Progression Notes :

New AI type : (entities only - no coding)

- prototype phase of new AI complete
- Feedback for player and reaction animations complete
- first pass on bug fixing and tweaks


Layout Notes :

- Started sketching out basic idea and flow for progression
- Using a test map I began to plan AI mechanics introduction.

That looks like a really decent idea, and I can see it being used to good effect within the level.

I've also gotta say you sure know how to put together a nice, short youtube video, and you speak really well. This is obviously unrelated to the WIP itself, but damn.

EDIT: When you mentioned AI, and then called the video RADI-ANT, I thought it was going to be some form of a pun on the radiant AI engine in things like the Elder Scrolls games.

Will you be replacing the ant's model with something new?

@[frank] - Thanks for the compliment. I felt like people might get confused with the editor :P but only in the design community.

@ominous22 - Thanks! I appreciate the offer but I think I'm going to just tweak the current skin.

Ha! I used to be really active back in 2005-2007 then I started lurking :)

I'll try and be more active.

Edit: probably will be my first public release for eps 2.
