anyways, i think ill start now, not much else to do.
anyways, ill just give a quick rundown of my plans.
i've only really started meshing out the rebels
-class system, you start out as a basic marine with only general skills, its not a marine like in the military you have full control of your action, seeing as it is a rebellion. anyways, you could go out and explore by yourself, travel to other rebel encampents or other rebel hubs which are rebel cities where people can regroup.
-you can also go out and explore, but you might come across combine patrols which will pretty much fuck you up if you aren't in a squad.
- you can also come across ghost towns, kinda like ravenholm, that are overrun by zombies and xen creatures.
anyways basic idea is that your on earth in the middle of the war, you've joined the rebellion, you can venture as an individual, but you'll want some specialised skills or you'll never make it.
there will be some sort of money system so that you can return to town to buy ammo, equipment, undergo training etc.
as you train, or just use a weapon more you gain experience in that field and become more adept at using a weapon.
you can also gain ranks and status, with status comes the ability to command squads, drive larger vehicles, or fly planes, even have robotic companions like dog when you gain a high enough rank.
as this is a war, some fronts will be under constant attack and if not defended can be overrun and control can go to the combine, likewise the humans can conquer combine settlements, the larger the settlement, the harder it is to conquer as reinforcemnts will be sent and defense stations will be set up. To be succesful at conquering a settlement, town, city whatever it will require a coordinated attack and sometimes these are organised by rebel leaders (people running the game), ai and human players will gather at select spots and attack large enemy congregations simultaneously, meaning that even large combine forces can be defeated. this style of game play allows allows the world to change dynamically and the balance of power changes aswell. highly organised clans will reap benefits of being able to conquer settlements and have small bases of operations, so there can be clan cities where a clan could run the economy, major cities would still be run by the admins.
anyways theres just some rambling that i was thinking about, tell me what you think, even though at some spots i could very well be unclear about what i and trying to express. but anyways, i so want this game
