Windows Shell Commor?

Ok well here is the short, i have all these nice little .vmx folders right? Well i thought of the bright idea of trying to open them with hl2, in other words i went to properties changed the "Opens with" to well... hl2... now im stuck with all these pointless files and i cant find the original program to open it with. I know its called windows shell commor but this isn't located anywhere on my computer! All i need to know is just how make my .vmx files open back up with windows shell commor. Dose anyone have any idea on how to do this? If so please please PLEASE help!
