Monochrome - Environment Artist

Postby marks on Thu Aug 19, 2010 10:53 am

Just a heads-up that we currently have an opening for an experienced environment artist who knows their way around the Source engine. We need someone with a strong grasp of form, color and lighting to create assets that will help immerse players in the world we're creating.

Strong portfolio is essential, applications go to jobs@monochrome-games.com

Haha, Tell us what you know Marks!

My only question is,
What kind of environments would this position have you work in?
Nothing specific, Like I figure it is mostly Urban and/or City settings?

Or we talking just in general, so basically whatever environments you require?

Contact. The EU welcomes the pain free. That's emotional impact.
I actually think limitation is good for creativity. If we had an engine that could do everything, we would be in trouble. It gives us focus. ~~ Randy Lundeen

If this was a mod, I would completely agree. However, it isnt, and nobody gets any information on the project (which isnt already publically available, show some initiative mate) until they've signed an NDA. So I can't really tell you anything without breaking my contract - if you're interested in working on our game, send an application.

It shouldn't be hard to figure out.
We don't need people who can do 1 thing really well, but nothing else. If you have a strong environment art portfolio, you will be considered.

Thats all,
I was just curious cause your picture show a Sub-Urban, Office and potentially rural-urban areas.

But I'm a bunch of theory and no examples of good work XD.

Does it require relocation? I doubt i have any chances but if so. It would suck to trip from south-america back and forth everyday in a 5000 milles subway trip.

It does not require relocation, no. All of us are located at different continents actually, so that doesen't matter.
You click on Build or type
make (or some equivalent), and you are astonished, then mortified, as you realize that the whole world is being
recompiled and relinked!
