Tears for Tarnor (Alien Swarm)

I dunno if you've heard of TfT or not, but it's a lil project I started developing in the late summer, based on a simple premise of finding out how well i could implement a story driven map/campaign into a game. (as everything I've done prior to this has been in the realm of multiplayer CTF/DM/etc type maps where there's not really much scope for an unfolding story). Anyway, the campaign quickly gained popularity, and currently stands amongst the most popular custom content for Alien Swarm.

I've already managed to produce the 1st chapter myself, but now, I'd like to expand and branch out a little for the remaining two chapters. This requires having some more people around who have skills in areas I either lack, or am sub-par in.

TfT is built so that it can run in the standard Alien Swarm game, meaning that people do not require a seperate executable to play. the current "hub" can be found here: http://ezekel.dreamhosters.com/Alien-Swarm-Maps/tearsfortarnor.html

What I'd like ideally is people with skills in:
  • 2D art,
  • modelling,
  • audio (music) composing.

so, if anyone's interested, gimme a bell, and we can work on making Tears for Tarnor truly shine as best as it can.
either PM me, or email me at:

Looks good but there's a distinct blur in all of them that's messing with my head...

i...actually have no idea...
it's never really been something i've thought about, but i've seen it several times IRL.
i mean, even when the machines in a vending area have different front images, they usually all have the exact same list of items available.
i can only hazard a guess that it makes it easier on the company/building that's renting the machines, to have fewer vending zones. easier to maintain, easier to manage, etc.
perhaps it also is so that more refreshments can be dispensed during busy peroids (and so that if one breaks down or runs out of stuff, there's still the other one).

damn it jim i'm a doctor, not a refreshments dispenser engineer! XD
