Blackmesa source 2011?

As far as I know, I believe that Xen is all they have left to do, which was stated at the start of this year. so Unless it's taking them a really long time to finish up Xen I don't know.

Also do people really think Portal 2 is releasing any source code? It's pretty common knowledge thats never going to happen, but hey if it does, I'll record myself doing a back flip sitting down.

I mean when you get down to it though we're really all waiting for the re-release of HL1. So it's not much of a serious deal it's not out yet. Funny enough the only reason Blackmesa source might be as well know as it is may be because of how long it's been in dev.

you can safely say that the popularity of half life 1 has something to do with it as well
and their official media releases look pretty good, you can't deny that

No, seriously now. As they though seem to be alive, someone here must have got somekind of contact with the devs over the past year? I am pretty sure they have stumbled by this site while building the mod, right?

True, likely any of us could make a HL1 map look pretty, but if you haven't noticed they did more then just re-map it all. They also made all new new models, textures and other assets look quite awesome, doubtful you could do all of that in a month, or even a year

Still, they had to re-script ALL the hammer logic, and replace every npc to work exactly the same. And I heard they added new stuff so there is more action and scripted events.
