Source Engine mod errors.

I have tried to make a mod OVER and OVER again, with no succesion.
Some mods i make, It will crash when i run it and say something about "props". I have tried to recreate the error but now it just crashes with no messages.
Other mods i have tried to make, the title of chapters is #hl2_Chapter1_Title. I Have changed these!

Where can I find a RELIABLE tutorial on this website to help me create a working mod from A to Z?
