Without content no one is even going to think of joining. And if you're new to modding don't start with something this big, do a small mod. Also a 'story/idea/concept artist guy' is not a real team member anyone can lead a mod and write a story that's already written. I'm trying to help you. I'm not trying to be an asshole but this just isn't going to work unless you have some things already made. Concept art isn't needed if you're remaking a game.
I don't mind constructive criticism--In fact, I greatly appreciate your input. I admit that it was probably a stupid move on my part for announcing this without any real information about it. However, to answer youre concerns:
-I'm not aiming to completely revolutionize modding or creating something extraordinary. But there's a lot of people who, after reading the BioShock pitch, feel that it should be made into an entirely new game itself. Even if this mod doesn't come out to be amazing, at least it's better than nothing.
-I'm making it in Source for a couple of reasons: It's easy to use and I think that it's one of the most succesful modding programs developed.
-Actually, the story for the original BioShock pitch was barely realeased. Most of the pitch talks about gameplay and only mentions the plot about two times (not counting the quotes on the top of the pages). All that it really contains is that your character is sent to an island, fights monsters and cultists, and also changes his DNA. There's a ton of things that need working on.
-This doesn't take place in Rapture. In fact, it has barely ANYTHING to do with the final BioShock. Most of its relations are in gameplay.
