WARNING: Vezon Serket, Bad Modder, Do Not Hire

Hey Interlopers,

I was just here to inform you of a bad employee that has recently left my modding group, Lone Walrus Productions. His current name is "Vezon Serket" as he goes by on steam. The story is basically this: He joined a while back, a little after our project started (Zombie Apocalypse: Source) and he seemed to have quite a bit of potential as a texture artist, so we hired him on after reviewing some of his work. We gave him 2 assignments, to create a logo for the team and the mod. He seemed to have progress, but as the days went by, nothing was shown, about 3 weeks later, when finally questioned, he said he didn't do the work at all. So I gave the assignments to someone else. After that we decided to give him another shot with textures. We had a modeler draw up two models, a lantern, and a candle, which were ready to be textured. We gave him the assignment, 2 weeks later, nothing. When questioned, he said he hadn't created these textures at all, but instead had done numerous other projects (Such as posters and images and the like.) for friends and other people.

In addition he said he wanted to teach me Texturing since he felt what I was doing was "Inadequate" (As a note, in addition to being the team lead, I map, as well as write.) So he showed me a thing or two on Photoshop then gave me a bunch of tutorials and said "Here's tutorials, watch and make me something.", I did make him something, 2 things to be more exact, and he apparently forgot about them then tried to pin me for bad work ethic. After I pointed out that I had made the items, and his bad work ethic, he started to back off. He then made the promise that the textures would be done either yesterday, or today. It's today, they aren't done, and according to him, he had family problems.

Everything is detailed in a chat log which I had print screened and also copy and pasted into a word document. If you do not have MS Word, I also made it into a PDF. In addition to the chatlogs, there is some miscellaneous information regarding his steam ID, steam webpage, as well as his email address, which are:

Sitting in a group for 5 weeks doing absolutely nothing and bossing people around is a dick move too don't you think? Besides, I did give fair warning this was happening, and he didn't object to it.

Well when it comes down to it this happens all the time in modding and is something that can't be avoided the only way to work through this is to just remove the guy and carry on. Eventually your mod should settle down to a small group of dedicated trust-worthy people which in the end is what is normally best for everyone.

Try going 6 months without mod progress. It's pretty common, people have real lives too.

Anyways this was a totally dick move, there's no reason to get upset (Or even come here and fill the forum with this nonsense) this happens all the time. Move on, unless he's the only person that did any work? I remember an old mod I did with about 4 other guys. We got a modeler after months of asking around. He came on, made one model, then he wouldn't make anymore because he told us he needed concept art. We didn't have an artist he wouldn't work so we booted him, it happens. Move on, grow a pair, all the stuff...

This is really unnecessary and you're making yourself look like the bigger ass. So what if he didn't work, don't come crying to us, it'll bite him in the ass later when he gets fired from a real job or whatever.

This isn't the place to get all QQ over your heartfelt emotions.

Yeah I really don't think posts like this should even be allowed. I met many dozens of people who wasted my time in this industry and in the modding community and many of them were actually really good working on other things. If he stole all your FTP data and claimed it was his or something then I might understand but simply not doing anything for 5 weeks doesn't deserve this kind of call out.

The more I think about it the worse this is. I request a lock.
