We decided to develop a multiplayer part for the Bloodlines Resurgence mod. Since it takes a lot of time to finish it, we will now focus on getting the multiplayer version released earlier than originally planned.

  • Team Deathmatch
  • Classes

Teams:

  • Vampire Hunters

Features to include:

  • Customizable Characters
  • All ranged/melee weapons

Maps:

  • Deathmatch game mode, having a team based and regular (free-for-all) deathmatch mode
  • Character selection
  • Include all weapons, ranged and melee, implement hand viewmodel
  • Spells

Needed skills:
  • Experienced with Object-Oriented programming

In depth:

The multiplayer part of the game is a testbed for the project, which will be developed in parallel with the singleplayer part, as many of the codes are shared, such as the weapons, spells, character selection and so on.
It will need to have the team/class mode and deathmatch mode. The two teams will be Vampires and Vampire Hunters. Character selection is an essential part for both singleplayer and multiplayer, since it sets the player model and its specific spells for the players accordingly.
The weapons have to be implemented for the game, therefore they have to be rewritten, along with implementing a client side model entity, which is the hand model for the view model, attached to the weapon viewmodel.
Maps will include hubs map such as Santa Monica, including the inner buildings, but not only. Maps are still undecided for now, but it will feature a large variety of the original Bloodlines maps, reworked for the multiplayer part.
VGUI knowledge is also needed for the character creation, but also for the HUDs and for other dialogs.

Coders will be assigned to their tasks specifically, choosing up to any of the tasks. We would require coders with Source modding and programming knowledge, or high programming skills who can pick up the Source engine fast. More info will come soon.
