NPC and player model to Portal 2

Hello

If you remember the portal 1 mod called Portal Underground Story.
It was created by me and my brother.
We just started to make a new story for the game portal 2.
and we wonder if we could take the half-life 2 npc's models and make them work in portal 2?
and also change the player to a male?

Is it possible? if not? then i maybe have to creat the mod in portal 1?

There is no codebase for Portal 2. And as far as I know, P2 has no walking NPCs...

You could... export the basic map geometry that the character needs to traverse. Then use an animation tool to animate the character walking through the said geometry. But if the character needs dynamic behavior then this won't work.


As for Portal 1, I don't think we have access to that either. But you might want to check on that. I just assume because I've never seen a mod for it.

Portal prelude had npc walking and talking.
I couln't just copy the models and some scripts from hl2 into portal folder and have them like that?

and portal projekt beta had a male player.
i wonder how they did that.

That's Portal 1, as far as I know the Portal 1 code base is open, Portal 2 is not.
