I think the color correction bleaches out the nice colours you used to have. I do like the rainbow though, is it 3d?

We're constantly tweaking the color correction, hopefully we land on something good :)
The rainbow is not 3d, it's a part of the skydome.

Fantastic attention to detail on the "after" versions of the screenshots. Same base layout, but also shows the importance of the little things. Great work (absolutely love the lighthouse), but one thing;

I'd be more compelled to play the mod if I had something else than a set of beautiful screenshots, even though they do their part, I'd like to see some gameplay demo's and story pitches.

Good luck on release!

@garrador: Mission Improbable 1 and 2 have already been released in the "before" form. You can go download and play them right now to get a feel for the gameplay.

For the record, it's solid. It's very much like Half-Life 2.

We will be creating a launch trailer for the mod, which shows off gameplay and the environments in motion.

Thanks for the good luck wishes, I hope people will play it!

While I still to this day loved hl2. I don't understand why they left out so much to detail? The gameplay was solid but they skipped the clutter pass? Or maybe they just wanted to keep it as optimized as possible... <- probably that

Most likely optimization. If you gotta make something on the PC as well as on the Xbox, the PC version will always suffer.

@epifire: not to get off-topic but......what??? Half-Life 2 was designed to be PC-only. And it lived solely on the PC for about a year. And it was first brought to the original X-Box, which had plenty of trouble trying to render with the Source engine. It wasn't until Orange Box that it was brought to the 360, and by then it was using the stronger 2007 code coupled with the 360's stronger hardware. And knowing Valve, they are more inclined to let a console version suffer before a PC version...just look at the Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 console versions, which fade out most physics props after a certain distance is reached. And judging by the looks of Portal 2, they are getting better and better and essentially forcing the console versions to look like the PC versions.

@knights: I sometimes wonder about that too, especially when i wander around in MW2 and MW3 single player missions. there are literally tons of detail props strewn about every square inch of space in those games. but still, the half-life series gets it point across despite missing that extra level of crammed-in details. I honestly think they are prefect. it is a kind of stylism in itself to lack a certain level of details. let the imagination do some detail work for a change.

/off-topic rant, lol

@joe_rogers: Thanks for the info on that. I thought that the Xbox version had come out a little after HL 2's initial release. Your looking at a guy who came into the Valve games around 2010/2011 so I am not all clear on the history of different versions. Any who, had to throw that in there. So back to what ever the rest of you were talking about.

Why are you so late? 2004 PC's were still very slow and Half-Life 2 was released right before Doom 3 started pushing PC limits.
