Doing it according to Raising the Bar? Chapters 3 and 4 I assume then? Because I don't want to run into them in a place they do not fit into.

Bullsquids would be in several sewer-y areas and canals, but there won't be a whole bunch of them.

Houndeyes we're thinking of adding as enslaved Xen creatures that the combine use (they'd have implants similar to the Vortigaunts), having them as sort of 'guard dogs' in Nova Prospect, and a few areas in City17. There could also be wild ones, though where to put them, I don't know. Plus an optional malfunctioning Combine implanted Houndeye for the street war levels, that run at you, rebels, and combine alike and explode after trying to use their attack, or after being shot.

Here's a small content update.
I now have 20 of the 63 brick textures done up, then I'll go onto re-doing the other environment textures.
Two of the textures- Image Image

Street War Barney variant.

WIP skin of Dr. Kleiner (only his lower face and eyebrows have been done so-far).

And last but not least- my re-re-reskinned Alyx Vance (this time hopefully more accurate to the original). All her face, except for her forehead has been re-done so-far.

Eugh. Sorry man but that just looks bad. Specularity is weird on the characters, the two brick textures are just, they're just photoshop drop shadow on the second one, with ugly colours and a stretched blurry window texture. If someone wants to play Half-Life enhanced but with generally the same textures and models and unchanged atmosphere just download FakeFactory CM 3 when it was just texture updates.

This gave me a laugh- FF CM has never, even in the early days, been a good mod for HL2.
I used certain pictures for the bricks that best captured the original look, and I used photoshoped drop shadows because I had to, and because that's how it looked on the original HL2 texture.
Also, let's do a little comparison, look at my G-man, then look at FF's G-man: http://www.wizzlefits.com/wp-content/ga ... man_lg.jpg You really think FF's is better?

i think they both kinda suck? no offense to anyone but does the reskinning of characters not feel like some sort of wasted effort?

Wasted effort? Why?

It does kind of make the area around the eyes look a bit off. Barney looks a bit strange.

Okay I would rather see a before and current method of seeing the pictures. Then we could analyze the changes and see what is different. That is how I would do it anyway.

Oh yeah that's a lot better. Looks like one eye supports reflection while the other does not.

Just faces for now or are you gonna buff up the rest of the model to look that good?

Damn it! HL2 is beginning to look like HL did when compared to HL2 back in the day. I feel old.

It's actually even older then that when you think about it cause that comparison would be within six years where this is like nine years difference.
