Wow this is an amazing opportunity. Almost a first of its kind?

I'm surprised a lot of you guys are doing this just for the money. If you are setting your sights that low, you are for sure missing out on the real point, which is getting your name into a finished commercial game. That is HUGE when trying to apply for jobs in the game industry.

Hell I'm entering this even though my NS mapping ideas have been lame in the past. Everything has been done I swear...Need something unique like a swimming squid.

Who cares about money. Having a chance like this will boost my resume.

I've been reading the blogs on their site, and here is a couple of more information about the game:

- They are making content packs around a certain theme or style, so in the tech release you will probablly get lots of textures and models that actually fit together.
- The weapons will be restyled, and there is at least one new gun
- The game is fully coded in Lua, which means that you can change almost everything in the game in a couple of minutes, like add a new building, change the tech tree, change weapons properties, etc. I think this is the biggest feature.

And here are some concepts:

What I'd like to know is do we map for things as big as Onoses or what? It could be a whole new game for all we know.
Barely working on (I'm still very busy with real life):

I'm pretty sure the dev kit he puts together will contain all you need as far as player sizes etc. This is not something you should start working on until he releases the tech demo.

So how come it isn't on the NS news page? The only bit I see is that one reply on the second page that announces it. Of course I believe it but surely they should hand out more details on the front page.
