yep. if we'll be ever expand on it, we'll have "new" locations.

i put the "" because how much can be a location be new? i mean, we can expand moving along the coast, it will be different but it will recall the coastline levels; or a combine fortification, it will always recall the citadel.

here i'm asking for feedback: what do you guys expect from an addon like this?
i mean, if we look at Minerva yeah it's an original location, btw the mapping principles are something that btw deal with the coastline theme and "nova prospekt meets the citadel" theme.
What people expect from these addons? totally new theme (snow) like Awakening? or you would be happy to see different locations of themes already seen in hl2 (for eg a dam, the wasteland as was first intended in the Valve "rising the bar"...)

its kind of odd but alot of people seem to like custom content too. Mainly though i noticed your materials are custom with the name ra in them. kinda look like edits of the originals though.

Okay, finally got around to giving this a go.

All in all it's pretty decent. Played on hard and found it to be a little too easy. The problem was there was too much shotgun ammo and the whole game takes place in confined quarters.

My other annoyance: cheap shots. Don't remember where, but I walk through a door and get shot in the back. WTF. Then there was the pit with the supid ass jumpy poison zombies in an alleyway that wasn't dark at all except for the hole area. Yeah, yeah, haha, you got me. I just don't like cheap shots. If I had a reason to believe that I should be looking for the floor, okay, I would have been using my flashlight, if I had reason to believe that people would be waiting, elevated, behind me, I would have come out facing that way(I died there btw. Nothing worse that a cheap shot killing you). There were a few other points, but I don't really remember them.

Puzzles were decent, brushwork was so-so, lighting was pretty decent, V.O. was decent, obligatory antlion bull fight was stupid and WAY too easy, obligatory on-rails prisoner sequence was silly, obligatory strider fight felt hollow.

I sound like I don't like it, but I did. It was decent and fun and a good length. Many kudos.

*sigh* Still TRYING to play it. The game crashes every now and then when I try to save it. Doesn't happen with any other Source game.

And now I've been running around with 17 health for God knows how long, without a health pack in sight. All of the Combine have shotguns and kill me in a single shot. They react in an instant. They come from every direction. I have my antlions, but they're hardly helpful. It's impossible to advance any further in the game without having to reload and play through it again without losing so much health. And this is on normal difficulty. I shouldn't have to do that.

PLACE MORE HEALTH.

Yeah, Minerva is definitely at the top, but this one is right behind it. It was actually the first mod I played and its on par with the original nova prospekt levels. Other than that, the only thing I didn't like was the abrupt changes from antion squads to human squads, and back.

I'd actually like to know how the boat at the end was made moveable.
And how they were able to do that well with the voice acting.
(I could really use both...)

...bumped, sorry

Thanks very much KK :)

For the voice recording we give all the credit to the actor: Daniel Rodrigues. You can find his contact in the team page.

For the boat, i think Germano used a multimanager for the human to talk and for kickstarting a scripted_sequence entity that makes the boat move.
