I still play alot, I love the game and the style, it feels so fresh to go from all the games that aims for realism and just have fun with the randomness.

Yes because there is a severe shortage of games that try to look realistic.

Yes because the events of half life 2 are THAT realistic.

I think valve should always use this style, I like it a lot. I like cartoon styling a lot actually, hence my like for anime, street fighter, earthbound, team fortress 2, blizzard games, and so many more.
