[SPOILERS!] Okay so Visuals = great, Gameplay got boring after three encounters. And when you save that guy with the blue-ish mask near the end, who does he remind you of? He is that trainer at the beginning of the game (I think his name is modoq) and who would have a Rubik cube in a world like that? And I would also have to agree that the ending was terrible, and it was way to short at that... There are some really cool things though, like Father-Mothers secret, that's what made me want to beat the game. I think the best line in the game was when you first saw Hunter, he said, "I can't see, but I know I'm aiming at her head." That was awesome :D I think he was the best character in the game when it comes to originality. The story was okay, not to much to say about it. But overall I would give it a 8.5/10 just for the looks.

I have to agree with Krem on some parts.

Although the fighting system was unique and refreshing, the gameplay get very repetitive. It was EXTREMELY linear, which was disappointing to me. The way it looked before I played it, it seemed more open and explorable, but it really turned out to be the exact opposite. I'm not angry at ACE or anything, since they never really said it was gonna be an open game.

I think that if they can make it somewhat like Fable or Stalker with openness; where you can learn new moves and customize your stuff, then the game could be a winner.

You fight the same characters over and over, so the character depth is shallow. You don't get to experience a big variety of unique characters, and the setting of this game practically beckons for such a thing.

And...the ending was...disappointing to me. I didn't really understand what the hell was going on.

PS: Armageddon, there's a specific BBcode you can use for spoilers that requires people to highlight all text within it. You should have done
Highlight to read:
(Your post goes here)
.

As for now, the setting and design of it all is the only interesting thing to me. It has plenty of potential, and just so you know, I think there's a definite sequel on its way.

What's everybody's problem with linearity? I find it perfectly fine, and is usually a pro in my book. I don't want to be playing GTA.

I dont really have a problem with a linear game, I just think that Zeno Clash was a bit TOO linear, I really like this game, and I must be reaaaallly easily entertained because the gameplay is really intense for me. For what it is, a game developed by two brothers, I say this game is great. I mean, look at all the time and effort people put into their mods, large teams working hard, and yet I fail to see a mod as good as Zeno Clash.
BUT!
As a retail game that would be at my local gamestop, I would give this game a 7.5/10.
So sad, I really wanted to love this game, and in some ways I do, but in some ways, I don't.

One sidenote, there was nothing really bad in Zeno Clash, just not great

I don't think it's very repetetive, everything's awesome. I haven't finished it but I have gotten pretty far and I think I'm getting close to the ending. I'd still give this a 10/10, I enjoy the fights and the art direction is awesome.

10/10? What? To each his own I suppose.

Game was unique. That's about it. Should have just made it a fighting game. Every level practically feels like your in a fighting ring. I'm glad I didn't buy it.

i quite liked it, i do agree with most that the fighting got a bit repititive, especially as a couple of moves were beating anything else. As for the voice acting, besides it being a bit over the top, it never really bothered me

overall i would give it an 8.0 out of 10.0, was definatly worth my money tho (as i bought it at the 50% off day :D)

I think I'm fighting the last fight now, kinda hard. :P But I still don't think it's repetetive, I constantly try new moves but one thing I did find out being a little too good was the rush+elbow attack. I still don't see anything that would make me give this game less grading.
