Naticus, you are spot on. The game is very well polished visually, and the atmosphere and ambience are amazing, for a thirdparty modteam they did a good job. But Visuals and Atmosphere.. isnt what makes a game good. TBH, I think in 10 years that people are going to enjoy HL2, just as much as today, not based on the graphics but on the gameplay. I mean you still see Doom and Quake, HL1 communities still thriving with fans. Because the gameplay is great in all those games. I still enjoy the run and gun gameplay of Doom. Hopefully they can make up for it in the next release. I for one hope they do.
