Left 4 Dead 2 at Comic Con

Valve are planning to show off another L4D 2 campaign at Comic Con this week. I'm sure we'll get some footage off the back of this event:

Left 4 Dead 2 will be shown and playable during the upcoming Comic Con in San Diego, CA.

After debuting "The Parish" campaign (set in the New Orleans' French Quarter) at E3, the Comic Con showing will unveil "Swamp Fever", the second of the five campaigns shipping with L4D2 this fall. The game will be playable in the EA Gaming Lounge Presented by Xbox 360 from 2-9 pm Thursday-Saturday, and 12-5 pm on Sunday. The EA Gaming Lounge will be located in the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel, 401 K. Street.

In addition to the new campaign, Valve is also planning to unveil a few more of the 20-plus new items coming this November when the title launches worldwide on the Xbox 360 and PC.

I saw a screenshot of the map a few days ago that Valve released. It wasn't too exciting because it didn't show much of the swamp, but it showed some nice weather effects with lightning.

so I did a quick search, this comic-con is from 23 t/m 26 july...

The fog itself looks absolutely amazing, it looks like a blend of normal l4d fog and a touch of screen blur, also the infected models look like they have a higher poly count then l4d's common infected, which is excellent news unless you have trouble running the first game.

UPDATE!

New area= Swamp, shanty town, and car alarm crescendo events.
New Uncommon common= Mud men, hide underneath the swamps murky water, can hit survivors from below, causing damage and throwing mud on the screen.
New Special infected= Spitter= ugly as hell
New Items: (so far) Adrenaline, increases speed, lessens melee fatigue, allows speedy travel through groups of infected.
Bandages: mini-version of the first-aid kit, these two, along with the regular pills go into that slot.



Shanty town features many destructable environments to add to the infected advantage.
