I enjoyed Tf2 much more when there were only dustbowl, 2fort, goldrush and no weapon updates.

The snipers sidearm is arguably the worst in the game (can't even kill someone if they have low health since the weapon has a slow rate of fire (for an "automatic" weapon) and has quite crappy damage, would rather have the pistol.) Many classes are given the "cookie cutter" sidearms, and all of them feel rather boring and really lazy in terms of design. In other words, when you are playing any class with those meaningless side arms, those are always the first things you want to replace.

Well then I suppose we can sit back and hope a new Counter-Strike game will resolve some of these issues for you. In the meantime, I will take TF2's weapons at face value as a fictional, stylized, fairly balanced, and fun experience. You might as well be complaining about the lack of official nomenclatures in the weapons, such as "I wish TF2 had a Glock 17 instead of a generic pistol".

Some people just can't be completely happy with anything. Their loss though, don't worry too much about it!

I've said before, if you read my posts, that I do enjoy playing TF2 and I only critique to exercise some thought while I play games. Though I am disappointed with the route of TF2's decision, I still appreciate the art of the game and the fundamental design of the way classes play. I.E. the snipers having a charge and classes that are unique like demomen. That's why I map, and still map, for tf2.

Unfortunately I feel like my posts here are causing something of a nuisance that I have to do it due to a recent in game experience, so rather than posting here about it, I'll make a new thread in gen disc.

I liked it, it made valid points, many of which I agree with. I still love TF2 though, and while I'm dubious about weapon crafting at least it means the extra pickups are useful now.

I wonder if the sword being long and all will increase the radius of the area where it damages enemies. If so than this melee weapon is going to be superior to all the others heh

And it's kinda funny how they try to make the game more like L4D2 (cutting off heads with melee and "charging") :P

Still, It does look interesting. I really wan't to see how the shield and sword play in-game

that's quite a radical departure for the demo, i was expecting some sort of proximity-mine to replace the sticky, not some weird charge attack :O

Proximity mines would be even more annoying so I like this change in direction.

I wonder if the demo's third will be a bonk style drink, only alcoholic of course. Read the comic and note what it says on the crates.
