Ok, Call me crazy, but the second I see this image I'm instantly thinking the Borealis.



That's a portal door, yeah, but it looks like those are puddles on the ground coming from a breached and twisted hull from the ceiling, that gash being where water is dripping down.



Course it could just as easily be a picture from the destroyed lab after the explosion.

Some of the pictures are unmistakable: Vortigaunts holding hands, an Aperture Science door, the defense turrets (turn your head to the right), and of course nefarious AI, GLaDOS herself. This is where everything stands right now, because the internet is still trying to figure it out.

One interesting little tidbit of information: The ASCII information identifies the crazy AI antagonist as GLaDOS v3.11 - and as it happens, 3/11 (that is, March 11th) is the day on which Valve head honcho Gabe Newell will be receiving the Game Developers Choice Pioneer Award at GDC. Could the man be planning on making some sort of surprise announcement or reveal?

And if he is, just what would he be revealing? We've already been told that Half-Life 2: Episode 3 won't be coming this year, but there's always Portal 2.

Curiouser and curiouser, indeed. Between this, the ApocalyPS3, and the Infinity Ward lockdown, yesterday was a really weird day for gaming.

This was all "solved" relatively quickly... I was hyped up last night, went to bed, and then finally people got pictures minutes after I fell asleep... Pretty cool!

What made yesterday even more weird is that megaman 10 dlc was announced on the games release. (FFFFFUUUUUUU-----)

Well, Portal 2 and Episode 3, I guess, though those things look nothing like vortigaunts to me... It will still probably be a year til release, but this is why I was telling people that just because it isn't being released this year doesn't mean there'd be nothing to hype it up.

I would expect a third game in the mix, but...

The official rumor now is that all this is leading up to the Engineer update and a Portal-themed hat. Engineer probably gains a hacking tool. Valve is apparently calling us "good engineers".

I still think Borealis was a mobile testing platform, and there's GlaDOS 2 there, and in Ep3 we will have to use the portal gun to get through the ship. Portal was basically a tutorial game.

there will be no portal gun in ep3, allthough it would be cool.. its not what hlf2 gameplay is about

no proof, but portal would loose its charm if hlf2 also had the ASHPD
