Of course those concepts may not reflect the final product but even if they are I'm fine with it. I think it fits quite well into the Portal universe.

I won't mind if Chell doesn't conform to conventional standards of gaming heroine beauty. After all, you'll spend most of your time unable to see yourself, and it's not like she needs to look good for the AIs of varying insanity who have kept her in statis for years in a dubiously-healthy environment.

I don't personally care, either. I decided when I beat Portal that I would buy the sequel if it ever came to be. But when you do things like release concept art, it's part of the marketing process - and sex sells.
