4 years of potential development for Portal 2, so it's about time it did come around. Can't wait.

PS: Why the fuck would anyone want to boycott Portal 2? I don't see any motive for such a thing...

This is great news, I just hope we'll hear something about Ep3 too, sooner rather than later. It's been in development for fuck knows how many years, they gotta have something to show us.

From what I understand the boycotts are a joke, parodying the L4D2 boycott.

I am happy there is going to be a Portal 2. Unhappy that there is still no ep3.

leading technologies (such as Steam and Source)

No way in hell they are "leading" technologies, Source is out of date and Steam is old and buggy(new UI is just buggy).

Though this is something for me to look forward to. Besides Halo Reach.

I think they call are trying to call Source a leading technology based on the wild success of their video games. And that is actually more attributed to the monumental scope of their game design abilities and their inventive use of an aging engine. I would be happy to see Episode 3 come out on Source, then Valve move on to their next mind-boggling brush-based engine.

Steam isn't perfect, but so far it's the best online distribution system and most likely it's going to become a monopoly much like Google.

But Google is great, so.

Okay, maybe it's the lead.

I suppose when every other game distribution network sucks and Steam sucks less, then Steam is the best.

Source and Steam are 2 different things O.o One is an engine, the other is a game distribution system..

The date March 11th turned up somewhere in the process and was associated with Valve's appearance at some event (sorry, I should really know which one). Any clues as to what they might announce there except possibly for details on Portal 2?

This!
I wonder what Portal 2 will be like, i hope it will be taken on a next level and not only map-packs with some new models.
I haven't enough faith in Valve to not believe it.

Co-op, anyone?
