I'm not sure if it would affect the aiming in a game but the mac pointer has an extremely high acceleration curve which I still haven't been able to fix completely. if you have a sensitive mouse the pointer is really jumpy. I have a mbp and I don't think I would stop playing games on windows with bootcamp

Read it. :P

Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe, sharing servers, lobbies, and so forth. We fully support a heterogeneous mix of servers and clients...

No - it's a leap forward!

Depends, is it for a man or for mankind?

Similarly to what Lenin said when he introduced the NEP polic, "one step back, two steps forward."

Except it's the other way around.

Or something.

I wonder if the SDK base will be ported. And if so, will existing mods that use it run out of the box (so to speak) or will they need tweaking?

Let me quote the valve hlcoders mailing list for you:
Alfred Reynolds wrote:We will be releasing code support for OSX so you can compile your mods for OSX. The timing of that will be shortly after release.

'Shortly' means several months later. Case in point - L4D2 mod tools. :P

So I wonder, is Gabe going to buy Soul Silver or Heart Gold? That's my question.
