I liked how valve divided desks into cabals, rather than individuals. All the elements make it feel really open and transparent.

"Stoopid artsy fartsy types... They can throw their sketches and concept art up and everybody likes it, but you write some awesome code and does anybody come by to look when you print it out? Nooooooo..."

Actually, from what I can tell it's the reverse: The artists tend to be really sensitive about not showing early versions of their masterpiece:
A: "Hey, you should put up some new art there, that stuff' you had earlier was really neat."
B: "Oh god, people actually saw that? *facepalm*"

Gawd I hate cubicles. *retches*

Programming aesthetics unfortunately isn't as easily recognized by most :( Reminds me of an xkcd sketch.

I love the smiley faces stuck to things in the beginning lol, makes me like WOHAO@M<>?!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I think that someone should write up a basic guide about what really goes into a game judging on pop-culture, most people think it's all artists. And Dionysis' comment proves once and again just how misunderstood (and overpaid) programming is.

Of course I still say level designers do all the real work....:P

It's math in a different language!

"a colorspace" is a variable you are supposed to find, alot of people who remember the limitations of a "GldSrc" tool called Wally already know the answer.
