Interestingly, I actually interviewed at Tatto Media's Seattle office last year when I was looking for work. Subsequent events bear out my initial puzzlement and unease at exactly what their business model was supposed to be. And then I ended up working at a company that sold "casual" games and was integrating with facebook ;) (Coincidence rather than choice: I'm one of those people who grumbles about "Web 2.0" as a buzzword.)

And of course the reason they're winning is that convenient little button next to the poll that says "Login with Facebook". Valve fans have to actually create an account if they want to vote, Zynga fags just log into Facebook, click a button and go play their Farmville. I bet The Escapist is getting paid for adding that in.

Yeah was looking for the login to steam to vote. Shit's totally rigged. Farmville is like crack for people who don't know what real games are.

Read that Wiki article, what I find most amazing is a tool like that could raise 29 million in capital to make such gayness. I mean yeah it's working but would you take the risk?

Looks like Valve is catching up again, less than 24 hours to go.

zynga is the most pathetic, most accurate game representation of humanity to date

if it wins i will commit suicide, thus ending this hideous dream world i have accidentally created during my drug-induced fucking COMA!!

We were speculating it was Anon in chat, but we weren't really being serious.

I really doubt it was Anon. More like the website couldn't handle requests so it went down. Or the took it down deliberately to fend off the large number of people browsing.

If Valve looses, we can forget all about it. If Valve wins, we can celebrate with art depciting Valve characters smiting chickens and hillbillies. Win-win really.

The current standings are:

Zynga: 48.4% (21483)

Valve: 51.6% (22920)

And Valve's votes have been increasing at a steady rate with Zynga not fighting back at all. 6.5 hours left (eastern time) so I'm pretty sure it's over, unless Zynga manages to create another massive wave of mindless users through spam.

Voted for Zynga. [/sarcasm]

We can win this.

And finally, a use for Twitter.
