Yeah, I didn't see the body of where the person who died...died. Is it right at the beginning or at the end?

I can't wait for Black Mesa Source!

I've found my stay so far at interlopers quite good, and with a reasonable price.

That's how I felt too, heh.

I forgot to say this in my last post, I think they shouldn't've shown the actual body of the dead survivor. It should have been like a good thriller movie, where the body is never shown but it's implied something terrible happened to it.

Did you notice the Midnight riders t-shirts some zombies were wearing?
I had mine on while playing and it made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

They could made Bill's death a bit more dramatic, i'm not sure they eaven mention it in the game voice files?
I did like it, just some areas felt a bit rushed and empty.. nothing serious but the lack of detail compared to earlier left 4 dead maps was a bit odd, i wonder what the team has been doing at Valve.

Does anyone else find the map design in The Passing to be better than normal? I honestly felt like I had no clue what i was doing, except I was going the right way the whole time. I was like oh shit, good thing I went this way.

Also, the zombies with medpacs and stuff on them? Awesome.

yeah thats the uncommon common 'the fallen survivor"

I was worried there were going to be 93238 medkits in the passing when you played Versus
but they actually made a very good balance
now fix the other campaigns valve :D

Am I the only one who felt the role of the original survivors was kind of "meh", it's like "Hey, we'll be on the platform above you, and you do all the work" was a steady forumla for the DLC. In fact, I don't think there's even a time where they are on the same level as you! I think it was a concept that would have been done way better. It wasn't awful though, but they only really had 1 chance to do it.

Louis gave Ellis one of the gayest send-offs I've ever heard in my entire life. XD

And finally, the amount of dialogue exchanged between the two parties was so few, it was kind of underwhelming how little the L4D1 characters personalities shined through in this DLC. The trailer seemed more promising, I was expecting a lot more dialogue between everyone.

Srred went through the sound file last night and he said there are about 2000 new sound files with the DLC.

I think there's plenty of content, but since the characters interact like twice and the choice is random, it looks like there's very little to it.

But I agree, the L4D1 survivors could have been more involved.

I kinda hope in L4D3 or whatever, they will have a finale de finale - campaign featuring the entire cast with Midnight Riders, fighting an epic fight. Bill won't be there though :(

I was thinking it would be more interesting for each campaign to have their own bosses, to change the way the games played between campaigns and also change the strategy.

Tanks have kind of gotten old and played out, it would be nice for some stage-to-stage variation. L4D2 was much better at making each stage feel significantly different, but I think it could be pushed even more.

Regardless of how many new soundfiles there are though, only having 2 interactions a playthrough isn't really the best way to deliver those changes. It feels like they were going to do more with the campaign, but ended it short. It's the same feeling I had with Final Fantasy XIII, I loved the concept, the world, the design, but I felt something was missing that should have and easily could have been there. The passing had good characters, good art, good level design (it's a tad confusing to find your way through it though) and some interesting new weapons but they weren't used in any way that was formula breaking.

I was expecting a 4 tank at once scenario or some shit with all the survivors just wailing on countless of zombies, far more than what anyone has seen in previous l4d campaigns. Now that would have been the shit.

One bit I really liked in The Passing was the sewers... there was a tunnel section that you can't see down without a light. It just felt awesome to suddenly have 20 zombies rushing at you out of the darkness. It certainly brought in the "horror" factor I feel both of the L4D games lack.

What dissapointed me is the lack of new ideas for crescendo events. Other then that, I think it was really cool.

Yeah, there were several points in teh Passing where I was like WTF SHIT!

The normal l4d2 wasn't that scary.
