Singularity Released!

Postby Blink on Tue Jun 29, 2010 9:50 pm

If you hadn't already seen the news by now our very own Gee to the Vee has been working hard for three years with the rest of the team over at Raven and they've recently launched their newest release, Singularity:

The game takes place on a mysterious island known as "Katorga-12" where Russian experiments involving "E99" took place during the height of the Cold War era. Sometime during 1950, a terrible catastrophe known as the "Singularity" occurred on the island, causing the island's very existence to be covered up by the Russian government. The player controls Nate Renko, a Black Ops soldier who is sent to investigate bizarre radiation emissions coming from the island, only to crash land there.

It's great to see another loper in the limelight, good work sir!

Obviously you can find out loads more about the game on the official site but don't forget to check out Vivi's thread which he started over a year ago and has kept updated with snippets of info and other discussions.

The monster thing in the first picture is already giving me nightmares. I'd hate to run into that thing unarmed D:

It's not often when I pick up a video game, but when I see this available on Steam, I'll buy it.

Yeh it's available now, If this games anything bad like Wolfenstein's or Quake4's single player I'm going to be mad... :smt021 Raven software hasn't made any great games lately, but I'll give this one a whirl.. :jingle:

Vivi, if I buy this game how much goes to you? None? HALF-A-CENT!?? $50 seems like a lot though... Maybe it will go on sale after 2 weeks like Alpha Protocol did. :P

Can someone grab a hi-res screenshot while playing? I'm afraid that the anti-aliasing is going to be just as bad as Dead Space and the mouse controls might even be worse.
