And then proceed to constantly use SDK anyway.

Count me in, if we got the bigger fish to join in like banter said, this could really yield a good result or at least answers.

Here we go!
Its open to the public, I'll mark Officers when I see trusted people. (I.E. You guys :) )

Contact. The EU welcomes the pain free. That's emotional impact.

well ofcourse making the group alone isn't enough
first we need to get some members, and then get the attention from valve somehow

Of course, But organization is a key role.
And a nice unified place that we should all be capable of being a part of, no matter the website/community.

mike durand, who is supposed to be responsible for maintaining the public SDK, has already made it pretty clear that he doesn't give a shit about the current state it's in. He doesn't seem at all fussed about releasing the 2009 source code, that mods like C17 desperately need to actually work.

Gabe is the PR God and fundamentally one of the founders.

If the community rises up and begins to actively get a bit annoyed at the way Durand has been acting, then this might get interesting.

Railing against Valve is pointless, but against an individual? We might have some leverage.

A simple point: Durand is in command of keeping SDK up to date and functional. He is not doing his job to the standard we expect from Valve.

Those people are fucking programmers, not the artists and designers which the tools are meant to be used by.

Your point being what, marks?

That programmers are doing legwork Valve should?

They refine workflow, they work around problems.

Calm down. It's a point, not the foundation of my argument. Jeeeeeeez bro.

Community is the KEY WORD here, Be it the guy who makes gui compile tools or the bastard that makes source look godly... We all serve the same Tools with different goals and purposes.

They re(de)fine the workflow on the request of artists, since those need to use the tools the programmers make.
