Looks like a screen effect, as those do not seem to look like 3D artifacts.

Its not displaying correctly if its 3d, in fact it appears to be displaying radially rather then two images displaced.

It's probably just an effect that appears for a split second but was captured in that screenshot by accident.

I figured, I mean why make only ONE photo 3D? Plus like Plague said it looks radial. Odd effect though.

It's worth noting that the computer that took the screenshots didn't have max settings on, and the jpeg format reduced the quality of the screens as well. Ingame those areas will look much better. And most of the screenshots were taken unprofessionally and at bad angles.

Yeah, pretty sure it's an attempt at a Crysis-style chromatic abberation (that fringe you get when you look through a telescope) effect for when you take damage. Needs some work though, instead of making the image look razor sharp and "adrenaliney" it just makes it look like you need to whip out some anaglyph glasses. Still, no complaints at them trying to spruce it up with some new effects.

oh man, this is good news, I thought they were dead.

But about the screenshots, all of the materials seem to lack definition, the concrete looks like the metal, and many of the tiles look like they they're higher resolution version of hl1 textures.

But I'm just being an asshole I guess. This is alot of high quality work, I'm going to play this the second it comes out.

I think you're all being overly critical. It's surprising.

I don't know of many mods that are a much higher bar in terms of attention to detail and aesthetics. Especially ones that are almost TCs like Black Mesa.

But apparently you guys do.
