I'm really enjoying it. Played for about 3-4 hours so far and the diversity and clever design decisions all add up to a really well made game.

I laughed a lot and I especially smiled at certain sections. Also everyone keeps saying how the story is weak well I have no idea what they're talking about because I think it is deep so far and there's so many questions.

Overall the atmosphere is really powerful. Sadly the music hasn't been as inspiring as part 1 in my opinion. The only tune I did like was the jungle sounding tune near the start.

I for one hope the final song is as epic as the first game. I do not want to hear anyone tell me it is, I want to find out for myself... Don't go spoiling it for the kids, and the old guy typing this.

I've only been through the single player, and I have to say, it's one of the best game's I've ever played. Super fun, great story, over-the-top awesome ending. The writing, the gameplay, the graphics, the everything. Level design, modeling, animation, programming and any other aspect I forgot to mention are all really great here. Kudos to Valve.

Nobody mentioned anything about it yet: How improved is Source for this game? Does it support per pixel shading in models and other fancy stuff like good bump maps? I really hope so, maybe they update the engine for older games too.

Per pixel shading? Not any more than it already does. The bumpmaps probably arnt any better than L4D either. What we do have though is almost exlusively projected lights to compensate for high model counts and lots of subtle phong/reflectivity to set off the bump maps.

You forgot the music and ambiance, which are awesome, by the way.

Finished the Camp last night and the Co-op a little while ago with a friend. The Co-op was only about 3:30 hours but it was damn fun. More maps please.

Great game, loved every second.

Also, I am having a problem with the commentary mode. When i carry Wheatley, i cannot drop him whenever i want. so i cannot activate the commentary nodes when i am carrying wheatley. wat do?

You have to get right on top of the commentary node when that happens. I'm somewhat disappointed in the Portal 2 commentary, its very sparse.

Yeah me too, the portal 1 commentary had a lot of interesting gameplay facts. And these nodes never even mentioned one of the new features in portal 2.
