CS: Global Offensive Media

Valve sent over a nice stack of media for CS:GO. As well as the official trailer (which you should have seen by now) there were also a few screenshots for your viewing pleasure:

Aztec looks amazing, and dust(2) now reminds me alot of COD4 (Which is a good thing).

It looks promising, onky thing I don't like is the new first person animations, they look very static and not as smooth and awesome as CSS.

Also kinda sad they didn't kept the same player models, the classic terrorists from around the globe (phoenix, artic, guerialla, 1337). It looks like louis from l4d1 on the aztec picture, haha.

ditto with Kosire minus the player models. Its even sad to see those m4a1 from CSS as world models.

It's just a texture/model pack with some new weapons and console port. Lighting makes the most difference.

It's going to be released in like, what, a year? They have plenty of time to polish it up.

the think they really put me off was the girlish reloading of the AK47 XD

but I guess the maps are nice.. it just that its still the same source engine with some updates... nothing to drool over

I'm sure that a lot of the animations and models are placeholders, some of them are obviously temporary (flash bang floating in hand)

sure there's lots of time to add polish. But this is a first impression... for a commercial game its kind of mind boggling. I would accept that for a mod but not this.

Oh, looks like some shadow mapping in this picture. Not very surprising if this is the Portal 2 version of Source.

I don't think so, looks more like an airport baggage handling area.

With recycled models from the L4D airport of course... I htink it's one of the new maps for the Fightyard/Deathmatch gamemode.

I hope they'll make it more customizable, for example being able to make our own names for radar zones or establishing the hardness of a material or a custom sound for it could be cool. Also, I'm curious about those "new game modes", which may probably just be a deathmatch, gg or aim.
