Like It'd be nice if they implemented steam cloud and Steamworks with the mobile platform so apps could do things like integrate with desktop games, have achievements that carry into steam and also give the tracking/control mechanisms that Steamworks provides currently.
I agree completely. Though, due to Android Market and Apple Appstore restrictions, I can't see them trying. And if you have to side load the app(which AT&T does not allow) because the respective phone appstores won't let them, then you end up with a relatively low amount of users.
The SteamWorks and SteamCloud system would be completely doable as far as I understand.
Maybe not on iPhone due to the closed nature of the system, but on Android, I don't see why they couldn't. The SteamWorks and SteamCloud services are basically just a way for a application(game) to talk to Steam servers.

Such as playing Half life 2 on your phone via tilt controls. I don't know how we'll it'd work. Or an advanced 3d side scroller that only a PC can handle. Just saying what if steam could transmit the data from your PC in real time to your phone so you can play your games on your phone while your PC process it.. Though I dont know how we'll it'd work, and controls would probably suck, but you get what I'm saying.
Sure, that's completely possible. Though the computer's and phone's connection are going to be very important. Upload speed, download speed, ping, all need to be quite good to have a decent experience.
