New Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Pics Released

Postby ad_hominem on Mon Mar 05, 2012 2:43 pm

There's bound to be a lot of news arriving over the next week, what with GDC getting into full swing, but Games Radar have managed to get a little ahead of the game. They've been having a look at the Arsenal mode for 360, but the real interest here is the new images they've included, which look vastly improved from what we've seen so far. I've included a couple below:

Wow...that looks really nice compared to the initial media they released.

Dynamic lighting makes such a huge difference to the look of the game.

I expected the global shadow mapping for EP3, but not CS:Go. Awesome.

QTF to the max bro. Things like this keep my hopes alive for the future of Valve in general. Not that they are ever going to really die but there are a lot of black-hearted rival gaming companies out there who probably want to assassinate Gabe Newell and his entire inner circle.

And now we have video of the new map "Lake" in Arsenal mode. It looks stellar.

Map reminds me a lot of the L4D Death Toll Finale.

Looks very nice though, particularly for source. It amazes me how they can keep the engine looking fresh with each new release despite its age.

Will definitely be looking forward to release.

Here's hoping they release some updated tools for us, I'm very keen to map for cs:go.

Dem shadows. This will make mapping worthwhile again.
